I would like to share few tips and suggestions. chopped onion either use a large onion for quick preparation or prefer to use small onion [ chinna vengayam] for healthy and tasty. saute the onion well with oil till raw smell goes out. Then add dry red chillies for taste and colourful and fried to it. Add tamarind for sour taste. All these made us good aroma and tempting to eat. Different style everyone prepare this recipes as by adding coconut , green chilies,small onion as per taste.

Ingredients for onion chutney:
- 2 tsp of oil
- 2 large onion
- 4 dry red chillies
- 1/2 tsp of tamarind
- salt as per required.
seasoning or tempering for onion chutney:
- 2tsp of gingelly oil
- 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp of urad dal
- 1/2 tsp of gram dal
- 1springs of curry leaves
preparations:
- First wash large onion well and chopped into big pieces.
- Take dry red chillies 3 to 4 if need add as per taste. then take 1 tablespoons of tamarind for sour taste.
Instruction for onion chutney:
1. heat a pan add 2 tsp of oil gets heated then add chopped large onion saute well with oil.2. once onion gets fried then add 4 dry red chillies mix well till wait for black colour changed. It gives more spicy and taste.
3. add 1 tablespoons of tamarind to the mixture.
4. Fried till all turns golden colour.
5. add salt as per required.
6. once done cool the mixture completely then transfer to blender for grind
7. grind for smooth paste if need add few water to mixture and blend well once gets smooth transfer to the serving bowl.
8. Add seasoning to the mixture. now onion chutney gets ready.
