raw banana podimas is south indian style recipes which to be steamed plaintain with coconut stir fry. raw banana healthy and tasty with requires less amount of oil.plantain tries recipe like roast, chips, fry,podimas. It easy to prepare and serve with rasam, rice, sambar. 

Ingredients:

2raw banana boiled and to be grated.
1large onion finely chopped. 
fresh coconut grated - 3 tablespoons
tumeric powder- 1/4 tsp
salt as per required
1tsp of oil
1tsp of mustard seeds
1/2 tsp of urad dal
1/2 tsp of gram dal
1springs of curry leaves
1red chilli

pre preparation:

1. First wash 2 raw banana cut top and bottom portion after cut into 2piece each.pour some amount of water into the bowl till banana gets immersed into the water and closed with the lid. 
2. boil the raw banana for around 10 to 15minutes. don't over cook.

3. once banana gets boiled remove the skin .

4. grate the raw banana using a grater.

5. cut 1large onion into finely chopped.
6. grate the fresh coconut at the amount of 2tablespoons.

Instructions:

1. Heat a kadai add 1tsp of oil then add 1tsp of mustard seeds,1/2 tsp of urad dal, 1/2 tsp of gram dal.

 2. after add a red chilli and springs of curry leaves.

 

3. add finely chopped onion and fry till gets golden brown colour.


 

4. after add grated raw banana then add 1/4 tsp of  tumeric powder.

 



 

5. add little amount of salt.

6. add grated coconut and mix well in it.

 

7. now valakai podimas gets ready and serve with rice, rasam, sambar.
