 Homemade mutton gravy will become recipe every time want to cook with lamb. Different variety of cuisine mutton gravy available like Andhra, hyberabad, kerala variations. Every Sunday many of the home prepare non veg as their favour. This indian mutton curry will soon become your favourite bowl of comfort food. Made in a pressure cooker and prefect with basmathi rice, chappathi and mainly with idli & dosa.

Ingredients

for gravy:


  • 7 teaspoons of oil
  • 2 redchilli
  • ¼ fennel seeds
  • 3 Cinnamom
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 medium sized onion finely chopped
  • 3springs of curry leaves
  • 3 tomato chopped
  •  2 teaspoons Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoons coriander powder
  • ½  teaspoons of redchilli powder
  • Salt as per required.
  • Mutton lamb – 1kg
  • Water as per gravy needed.

For paste:


  1. Garlic - 25
  2. Small onion – 1cup
  3. 3 teaspoons of oil
  4. 3 cinnamom
  5. ¼ teaspoons of fennel seeds
  6. 3cloves
  7. 1cup of curry leaves
  8. 5 red chilli
  9. 1cup of grated coconut

Instructions

For paste:

1. Heat a kadai add a 3teaspoons of oil,add fennel seeds, 3 cinnamom, 3 cloves, 2 redchilli spilt into 4 piece gets sauté well.


2. Add garlic mix well.

 
3. Add small onion  mix well in it.


4. Add 1 cup of curry leaves mix well in it.



5. Once gets cooled grind well in the mixer and transfer to bowl.

6. Add 1 cup of grated coconut in mixer and grind well transfer to the bowl.

For gravy:

1. Heat a pressure cooker add 7teaspoons of oil, ¼ teaspoons of fennel seeds, 3 cinnamom, 3 cloves, 2 redchilli cuts into 4 pieces gets splutter well in it.


2. Add 2 medium size large onion finely chopped to it and add 3 springs of curry leaves.


3. Add 3 tomato finely chopped until gets mushy mix well in it.


4. Add 2 tsp garam masala,1 tsp chilli powder, ½ redchilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder.

 
5. Add salt as per required.


6. Add mutton or lamb curry mix well to the masala for 5mins.after water start comes from the mutton and needs to drained it completely.

7. Add grinded paste to the mutton mix well in it . and water as per gravy needed in it.[ Note gravy not be so watery consistency check it.]


8. Close the pressure cooker put weight for 6 whistle after that turn off the gas. Wait until pressure gets relaxed out.


9. Open the cooker mix well the gravy and serve with chappathi, basmathi rice, idli and dosa.
