 Poori masala | puri masala recipe | poori curry

Poori masala recipe is south indian style dish made in different taste as puri bhaji, poori curry, poori masala. Breakfast across india is poori with potato curry. This recipe is very simple and does not use too many ingredients. It gives good aroma that comes from boiled potatoes, green chilies, curry leaves and coriander leaves. This curry not oly for poori can also serve with chapatti,roti.

Ingredients


  • 5tsp of oil
  • ¼ tsp of mustard seeds,
  • ½ tsp of urad dal
  • ½ tsp of gram dal
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Onion - 2 large sized chopped
  • Tomato- 1 large sized
  • Curry leaves - 2 springs
  • Boiled potato- 10 medium sized
  • Gram flour- 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt as per required.
  • Water- 600ml
  • Turmeric powder - 1tsp

Instructions

How to make Boiled potatoes

1.Wash well 10 medium sized potatoes add in pressure cook them with  water until it gets immersed for 1 whistle.

2.Cook on medium flame until the potato cook completely. You can also cook them in a pot until gets soft.



How to make poori masala

1. Pour oil in a kadai and heat it. Once heated add mustard seeds, urad dal, gram dal until golden.



2. Add onion until gets sauted. Then add curry leaves, green chillies. Fry till leaves turns crisp.  
 


3. Add tomatoes, turmeric, and salt.Sauté the tomatoes until mushy and raw smell has completely gone.










4.Put the boiled potatoes and add water used to cook them. Mash them slightly for taste. Note : add water accordingly to bring it into a consistency.







5.Check salt and spice.mix well in it.

6.After take a 2tsp of  gram flour in a bowl add some water without lumps in it mix well.




7.Pour into curry mix well cook for 5mins until curry reaches a thick consistency.


8.Then sprinkle coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Serve poori masala hot with poori, chapatti, roti.
