In south indian easily preparable breakfast as upma. Different
types of upma available.once u try with this proper guidelines it becomes tasty
dish for unlike person also. Best sidedish for upma is sugar.let move on to
preparation of rava upma.

Ingredients [serve for 4people]
- Rava 400gm
- ¼ teaspoons of mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoons of urad dhal
- ½ teaspoons of gram dhal
- 2springs of curry leaves
- 2 large chilli chopped
- 2 large Onion sliced
- Water 1:3 ratio [detailed tell below]
- Salt as per required.
Instructions:
1. First roasted rava for 3min in a pan and transfer to bowl. If its roasted before cooking then it to be so soft.
2. Heat a pan add 5 teaspoons of oil and add mustard seeds,urad dhal,gram dhal and curry leaves.
3. Once mustard gets splutter add 2 large sliced onion mix well.onion need to roasted brown.
4. Add 2 chopped chilli and salt as required .
5. Add water in the ratio of 1:3 ie, one cup of rava needs 3 cup of water (or) 200gm of rava needs 900ml of water . here i taken 400gm of rava so need 1800 ml of water.
6. Once start boiling of water bubbles are formed then add rava slowly mix well and slow down your flame. Add 4teaspoons of oil for soft consistency and to avoid stickiness.
7. Mix well slow down flame closed pan with lid and boil for 5min. turn of the flame serve hot in a plate with a sidedish of sugar.
8. Yummy rava upma gets ready.
