rava kesari is a south indian dish with step by step pictures. rava kesari meaning in english as semolina pudding recipe. the main ingredients as rava, ghee, sugar,cashew, orange food colour. kesari terms as orange colour. it can be serve for festivals, occasions. different kesari recipe is available as milk kesari, fruit kesari. with instant of orange food colour used as saffron but it to be silght yellow texture.
Ingredients :[ 1cup = 250ml]
- water - 3 cup
- rava - 1cup
- ghee
- cashew - 50gm
- orange food colour
- sugar - 300gm
- cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Instructions
1. heat a pan add 3cup of water till gets boiled well.
2. once boiled well add roasted rava slowly and mix well to avoid lumps in it.
3. once rava mix with water without lumps to become thick consistency. rava and water to be in the ratio of 1:3. turn the flame into medium.
4. add orange food colour to the mixture and mix well.
5. add 300gm of sugar and mix well till sugar gets dissolved with the mixture.
6. take another pan add ghee as per your taste and sweetness. add some cashew till gets light brown colour and turn off the flame.
7. transfer the cashew and ghee mixture to the rava kesari and mix well in it.
8. add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well in it.
9. now turn off the flame rava kesari gets ready
10. lets transfer to the serving bowl or plate before apply or grease ghee to it . spread the rava kesari mixture to the plate with spoon as plain while is in hot stage to gets square pieces.
11. after gets cool down cut in to pieces and serve in the plate. now rava kesari ready.
